Colour lithograph taken from the Holy Bible collection illustrated by Dalí in 1967. This print represents Jeremiah, who was a Hebrew prophet, author of Biblical books and a reformer. He lived during the reign of the Jewish kingdom and was persecuted because he was considered the messenger of disaster. However, his spiritual leadership aided the people to escape the capture of Jerusalem by the Babylonians. When the second siege of Jerusalem took place, Jeremiah was arrested and in this scene, the prophet is seen protesting against the cruelty of the King. The lithograph is labelled number 30 and is plate signed by Dalí on the bottom right.
