Civitas Dei: work by the contemporary artist Pier Luca Bencini, who represents a partial view of the superior part of the Dome of Milan. The viewer is lost within the myriad of peaks and pinnacles of the Cathedral, in a flamboyant and reaching towards the sky labyrinth. Above this “city of God”, as Bencini calls it, dominating the city from the top, there is only the sky. Thanks to his style highly solid and dense of colors, the artist paints it with the pastel shades of the sunrise.
