"The olive harvest" is an oil on canvas by the artist Giuseppe Comparini, heir to Macchia's painting and impressionist technique. Landscape painting constitutes the most important part of his artistic production, where nature prevails while the human figure appears, most of the time, in scenes of rural life. It is always undefined individuals, simple expressions of life and nature, like the two protagonists of this scene, who pick olives at the foot of the tree. The contrast of light and shadow embellishes the scene, giving it liveliness.
