Oil on canvas by the artist Giuseppe Comparini, heir to Macchia's painting and impressionist technique. Landscape painting constitutes the most important part of his artistic production, where nature prevails while the human figure appears, most of the time, in scenes of rural life. They are always undefined individuals, simple expressions of life and nature, like the protagonists of "Mountain House"; two people are in a small street in a small mountain village, characterized by stone houses. The warm tones and the contrast of light and shadow embellish the scene, giving it liveliness. 

The work is signed at the bottom right and is published in the catalogue "Giuseppe Comparini (1894 - 1980)" of 2007.
