The Loggia of Merchants: litography by the contemporary artist Giovanni Franzi, who here proposes to the viewer an ironical reinterpretation of the reknown portico exposed on via dei Mercanti (of Merchants), in Milan. Ancient symbol of the commercial milanese activity, the Loggia is situated in the Medieval heart of the city of Milan, and it represents today a striking context to the Christmas markets that extend on the street and on its prosecution, Via Dante. Loyal to his activity of architectures portrayer, Franzi reinterprets in a personal and peculiar vision the most reknown architectural works of Milan city, transforming them from simple scenographies to autonomous and ironical subjects. The work is numbered 84/200 on the left bottom and signed on the right bottom by the artist.
