Retouché by contemporary Italian artist Meloniski da Villacidro. Under a night sky, two women, on two moons, play melodies on trumpet and violin. The artist pays homage to circus art by depicting a tent in the centre of the work. The entrance to the circus shows that another fantasy world extends inside. Outside the circus, the element that catches our attention is the chequered lawn. The ensemble charges the image with a dreamy, fantastic atmosphere.
The work is signed in the lower right-hand corner by the artist.
