Against a backdrop dominated by a cobalt-blue sky fading to violet at the bottom, three hot-air balloons rise into the sky to the notes of a melody they themselves create by playing three instruments: a cello, a trumpet and a violin. 

The whole composition is characterised by an idea of lightness and gracefulness, typical of the dreamlike and fantastic scenes depicted by the artist. Always experimenting with various different techniques, Meloniski also combines traditional painting and three-dimensional inserts of different kinds in this work, thus creating a plastic and dynamic alternation of surfaces.

The work is signed and dated in the lower right-hand corner.
