Salvador Dalì, The Chemist, silkscreen on plate, 30x40 cm, 1981

Silkscreen print, printed in 10 colours on 800/1000 solid silver plate, engraved with the numbering and signature of Maestro Dalì in the bottom right-hand corner. The serigraph is part of the complete cycle of "The Trades of Man", produced by Rizzoli Arte and exhibited at the "International Art Exposition", an important event held in New York in March 1981.

This subject represents the chemist's job, set in a typical surrealist landscape, as on a stage a series of stills, ampoules and test tubes animate the scene, liquids come to life in a whirlwind of shapes and colours.

On the lower right is a chemist working in his laboratory.

The work is number 321/1500 and bears the engraved signature.
