A lithographic work with the typical features of surrealism, representing a portrait of the Viscountess of Noailles, Marie-Laure.
She was one of the most attentive patrons of contemporary and emerging art of the early 20th century. With this in mind, she had financed artists of the calibre of Dali, Ray and others, who were emerging young artists at the time.
His mother was a Parisian aristocrat and his father a wealthy banker.
His whole family had always been very active in financing their contemporary art and was an establishment in the more intellectual world of the early 20th century.
The work is hand-signed in the lower right-hand corner and numbered 57/90 in the lower left-hand corner.
