The city of the blind nomads is a work in acrylic on canvas, created by the four-handed artists Francesco Palvarini and Karim Abdel. The work represents, in an abstract key, a somewhat blurred city, as seen by two sightless 'nomads' (in this case the two artists themselves) who have no place in today's society, in which they do not recognise themselves and find it difficult to feel understood and to disentangle themselves.

These nomads amidst a thousand difficulties, in prey to the randomness of events, are unable to see their way through, but then finally find their way through art. The painting depicts precisely a dissolved city, representing the painters' difficulty in taking a defined path. The blindness indicated in the title is, therefore, metaphorical.

The subject tells a personal story, but a universal one at the same time, as many young people can recognise themselves in this malaise. Given by decisive, horizontal brushstrokes, we find a blue background with shades of white to represent the sky, sharp brushstrokes also palaces given by the colours black, white and dark green with splashes of yellow at the sides.

At the bottom, a road can be glimpsed as the painting's vanishing point. The work is signed on the back.
