Enrico Baj, Femme en pleurs, from suite "Baj chez Picasso", etching, 70x50 cm, 1969

Colour etching by Enrico Baj; the artist in association with Creuzevault editor in Paris, made the suite "Baj chez Picasso", a collection of 12 works with texts by Queneau, Pieyre de Mandiargues, Sanguineti, Buzzati e Seghers.

The suite is a tribute, in Baj style, to the master Pablo Picasso, Baj reinterprets the most famous artwork by Picasso.

In this case theinspiration artwork is "The Weeping Woman" made in 1937 after the great "Guernica". This woman was indeed a particular of this really famous work.

The work is signed at the bottom right and numbered 87/100 at the bottom left. The Etching is published in "Baj. General catalogue of original prints" on page 94.
