Oil on canvas realised by the contemporary artist Marino Benigna, that represents the portrait of a trio, whose subjects are painted with lenghtened forms and hollowed faces, appearing like skeletons. The sense of anguish and pain is given by the use of gloomy colours on shades of brown. The subjects proposed by the artist are tragic and deformed, often characterized by gutted mouths and troubled eyes, that show the anguish and the pain of humans. In Benigna's artworks is visible an influence by Schiele and by artists belonged to Vienna Secession, but also an other influence from the classic world in nubby and painful articulations of Matthias Grünewald's crucifixion. The work is signed by the artist.
