Oil on canvas realised by the contemporary artist Marino Benigna, that represents the portrait of a worried and suffering face, feelings that are underlined by the use of strong and gloomy colours. The subjects proposed by the artist are tragic and deformed, often characterized by gutted mouths and troubled eyes, that show the anguish and the pain of humans. In Benigna's artworks is visible an influence by Schiele and by artists belonged to Vienna Secession, but also an other influence from the classic world in nubby and painful articulations of Matthias Grünewald's crucifixion. The work is signed by the artist.
