This décollage screenprint is part of the book "Bellezza eterna" (Eternal Beauty), which the artist produced in 2005 in collaboration with the poet Alda Merini. 

The work reproduces the portrait of Marilyn Monroe in a vaporous white dress.

Through Mimmo Rotella's famous abstracts, the work takes on particular plastic forms, creating a play of lines and colours that are always new. The artist's handmade tears make each piece unique.

The silkscreen print is accompanied on the left by a poem by Alda Merini.

The work bears the artist's handwritten signature in the bottom right-hand corner and is numbered H.C. XIV/XXV. Below the poem is Alda Merini's signature.
