Artwork by the artist Giovanni Malesci, Macchiaioli artist and universal heir of the master Giovanni Fattori. It is made in oil on canvas and dates from 1966. 

Malesci paints a maritime landscape with a beach, a cabin and umbrellas. The human presence is only evidenced by a few people sitting under the umbrellas. All of this occupies only a small part of the painting, on the left, while the right-hand side is deserted, dominated by the stillness of the landscape. 

The artist remains faithful to a style oriented towards the art of the Macchiaioli, preferring colour to outline, with details that are not detailed but are nevertheless immediately recognisable.
