"Five centuries of printing" is the title of a group of three serigraphs, to which this work belongs, designed by Maestro Giancarlo Iliprandi in 1996 specifically for Nava Milano. Ilipandri, painter, set designer, expert in visual communication and iconographic symbolism, graphic designer and teacher, for over 50 years of career has dedicated part of his energy to incessant research, in an attempt to dissect all the expressive potential of the graphic sign. The covers designed for twenty years of the Serigrafia magazine are a shining example.

This silkscreen work presents horizontal rows of symbols, iconographic themes, geometric elements that, on a monochrome background, are repeated incessantly yet renewed each time, with a hypnotic power on the observer, a perfect synthesis of an art that is five centuries old and yet updated thanks to the possibilities that new digital technologies offer us.

The work is hand signed by the artist and is numbered 67/150.
