The idea of seeing the color in transparency, thanks to the light ray mirrored by the metal placed behind the pigment, amplifies its visibility and chromatic liveliness.

More than the value of the details Marcello Arletti is interested in the whole figure, he prefers to build the image while maintaining freshness by superimposing spots, halos and veils of transparent pigment, using the sotrattiva synthesis, on the ambient light reflected by aluminum.

The artist portrays here the Mona Lisa, in a tribute to the Mona Lisa painted by master Leonardo da Vinci. Arletti here uses a special paint that absorbs light during the day and releases it at night, creating an unprecedented fluorescent effect.
