Lucio Fontana, A drastically worked, Spatial Concept, Etching aquatint, 60x48,5 cm

Etching aquatint by Lucio Fontana belonging to the series of "Holes", the cycle began in 1949 and continued throught the following years. At first time the holes were displayed in a whirl way than they were represent in a more regulare sequences. As well as being purely graphic features on canvas, the holes in reality are a openings leading towards further space. The artwork was published by 2RC Gallery based in Rome.

The work is signed in pencil bottom right and numbered 28/99 at the bottom left. The work is published in the catalogue of graphic works by Lucio Fontana "Ruhé & Rigo".
