Carlo Massimo Franchi, Milan Flies High, mixed media on opal plexiglass, 53x36 cm

Milan Flies High: series of works that the contemporary artist Carlo Massimo Franchi realizes on a surface of opal plexiglass, for the project of the same name Milano Vola Alto. Subject of the work is the skyline of Porta Nuova project, where Pelli Tower, also called Unicredit Tower because of the reknown italian bank that has there its headquartiers, stands out among all the other buildings. Franchi offers to the viewer a personal vision of all these buildings, that he outlines with well defined contours giving an idea of solidity and stability. The modern milanese skyline comes alive thanks to a learned use of colours, alternating warm and cold shades. The work is signed on the bottom by the artist.
