Loris Dogana, Conservami, in vitro graphic, 27x27x6 cm (with frame)

This artwork depicts on pvc the design of a red heart inside a glass jar from which hangs a label with the words "Keep me". The image is double: in the background there is the shape of the heart which gives the image its red colour. On the other hand, the black and white part of the can and label is projected onto the background, creating a 3D shadow play. 

This work is designed to match "Forget Me", which places an anatomical brain in the jar.

The work stems from an experiment on perception. The black lines, representing reason, meet the emotions represented by the colours, in a balance between them that derives solely from the subject admiring the work and striving to make the two designs fit together.
