Mirror_Verse is a collection of works that sees the light of day in the year 2019: the novelty presented with these works is not in the pictorial style, an abstractionism linked to the scientific world with visions of galaxies and distant universes, characteristic of the artist's works; but rather in the use of materials such as plaster and mirrors.

The plaster is modeled on the canvas in a sculptural dimension to accentuate its three-dimensionality, and together with the use of reflecting or deforming mirrors, the goal of the works is in the transformation of the viewer's perception through a kind of visual bewilderment in which the attention of the viewer is poised between the experience of the work itself and its reflection.

By using reflective surfaces in this way, it is possible to break those barriers that have always separated the "metaphysical" world that arises within the confines of the canvas, the product of the artist's imagination, and the "real" physical world that bursts within those confines at once real but imaginary.

The concept of mimesis, that is, a faithful representation of nature tending toward imitation, is here taken to its extreme to the point of emptying it of meaning in the works in which, thanks to the curvature of the mirrors, physical reality is distorted, preventing us from giving a definition of real during the experience with these canvases.
