Andrew Tosh, He isn't Goofy, 110x90cm, 2017
The artist, who turns to the past for the choice of the subject, according to his expressive language, interprets a great icon of comics and cartoons, that characterized his childhood: Donald Duck. The capital letter "GOOFY", with a cross on it, apparently "no sense", is indicative in the composition and gives a suggestion for the reading of the painting. Undisputed protagonists are the bright and strong colors (blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, red white on a gray base) that Tosh puts on canvas, creating a vivid contrast, but with a definite and precise result. The piece of work is a clear and discursive work, which tells a world that is easy to approach for the observer and to identify with.
