Unique work, signed by the artist. A work of the French School representing a studio, we understand it from the desk, the papers and the books. Behind, a woman is looking at us, as if she had been photographed rather than painted. The style certainly looks towards Flemish art: the artist pays a lot of attention to the rendering of details and small objects, while remaining faithful to the Impressionist style that favours colour over the outline of the figures. The woman reminds us a little of the poses of the people depicted in Van Eyck's works.
