Salvador Dali, Female Love, Lithography, 50x65 cm

Lithography by the surrealist master Salvador Dali, in which the artist pays homage to female love. The subject of the work is a sailing ship, the sail of which shows a weeping female eye, while the supporting part, which allows it to float, is shaped like an elephant. The elephant is a recurring theme in Dali and takes on the meaning of "Temptation". At the sides, where Renaissance art usually placed the patrons of the work, sit two women, similar to ancient divinities. Watermark on BFK RIVES France infinity sheet. The lithograph bears the characteristic dry stamp of the publisher GDALI. The work is signed at lower right and numbered MCDLXXIII/MM at lower left.
