Loris Dogana, Plug and Play (brain), in vitro graphics, 27x27x6 cm (with black frame)

This work depicts on glass the drawing of a black and white brain from which a cable is unraveled, ending in a power plug. In the background, the same drawing without contours gives the image its blue color. The plug is looking for a socket to which it can be connected, and the artist has in fact conceived the work as a pair with the red heart and the socket. The title refers precisely to the connection between head and heart, it is an invitation to connect, find a balance between reason and feelings and start playing (Plug and Play).

The work comes from an experimentation on perception. The black lines, representing reason, meet the emotions represented by the colors, in a balance between them that derives solely from the subject who admires the work and strives to make the two designs fit together.
