Loris Dogana, Handle with care, in vitro graphics, 23x32x6 cm (with frame)

This artwork depicts on pvc the drawing of a male figure who has an anatomical heart instead of a head, and in his hands he holds a poster with the words "handle with care" written on it. The image is doubled: in the background we find the word "fragile" while on the PVC we find the main drawing projected onto the background, creating a play of 3D shadows. 

The work derives from an experiment on perception. The black lines, representing reason, meet the emotions represented by the colours, in a balance between them that derives solely from the subject admiring the work and striving to make the two drawings fit together.

The artist describes the work as follows:

"We are little parcels that have been walking around all the time, fragile and exposed to the world. Taking care of something or someone makes us feel alive, but it requires courage to lay bare what we care about most.
