Mimmo Rotella, Black Nude, serilitography and collage, 64,5x64,5 cm, 1980

The work is a serilitography of the arstist Mimmo Rotella, among the most acclaimed artists of Italian Pop Art.

In this work Rotella uses a poster with a silhouette of a woman's body in black, torn at the height of the bust. The composition plays on the chromatic contrasts between black and red.

The technique is typical of Mimmo Rotella's artistic research: the result obtained is given by the gesture of tearing the poster on the surface, revealing what is preserved below, creating a multitude of chromatic and tactile patterns.

The work is signed by hand at the bottom right and numbered at the bottom left 178/200.
