Unique work, extremely material by Giulio Ciampi.

Here copper, steel and wood blend in a perfect mix.

Rosa Mundi, takes inspiration from the legend of King Henry II and his very young lover Rosamund.

A deep love, which provoked the wrath of the queen and wife of Henry II, Eleanor of Aquitaine.

Legend has it that Eleanor, jealous and angry by the ever stronger presence of Rosamund, had lured her into a labyrinth in the garden of the Woodstock Palace residence and there put an end to the life of her young rival.

The King, destroyed by the loss, had a space reserved for her in the large park of Woodstock Palace and had her tomb covered with Rosamund's favorite flowers, the fragrant red-white roses, which took her name and are still known today as "Rosamundi".

Work signed at the bottom right by the artist.
