Abstract art
Abstract art or Abstractism is the art movement born on the beginning of the 1900s and it is a branch of the vanguards. The principle on which it is based is the possibilty of giving space to fantasy, feelings, introspections helping the creation throught colors and forms of the emotions, refusing every single link with real structures and objects.
The premises on which it is based, are irrationalism of Sigmund Freud and the fauvist art that takes on the canvas the artist's soul thanks to the color's expression. This not-fine art experience, will be shared by different art movements, from the abstract expressionism to the kinetic art, always with a different result. It is very interesting to notice how abstractism was born thanks to the need of finding in art an opposition to the photography that copys the reality mechanically.
Some of the most important painters have huged this kind of art, becoming simbols of contemporary art of XX century. Among the many, Vassilij Kandinskij, Piet Mondrian, Paul Klee.
