Meloniski da Villacidro, Dream Fish, mixed media, 59x69 cm

Dream Fish: work by the contemporary artist Meloniski da Villacidro, who uses the typical and dreamlike traits of his style to represent an architectural complex as a tribute to Milan for Expo 2015. A fish like a "fish kites" or "arks saviors" is caring on some new and historical palaces of Milan (we can see Pelli's tower or the Duomo), to fabulous landscape. Meloniski doesn't accept that the modernity could separate the humanity from Nature.The "Dream Fish" tied buildings and skyscrapers to the land between the heavens and the sea, thanks to the power of nature. The message that the artist sends us is the salvation of the human condition of modern man, possible only through dreams and imagination. Always experimenter of various and different techniques, Meloniski combines also in this work traditional painting and three-dimensional inserts: thanks to the application of details, he creates an alternation of surfaces plastic and dynamic.
