Bruno Budassi (Del Buda), Beyond, mixed media, 100x80 cm

Beyond: in this unique work realized by the contemporary artist Bruno Budassi, a.k.a. Del Buda, the Unicredit Tower stands out from a monochrome nightblue background. This well-known skyscraper, which with its 231 meters height is the highest not only of Milan, but also of Italy, was inaugurated in February 2014. The artist perfectly delineates its contours, by mounting on the canvas a myriad of Swaroski cristals, which in addition to embellish the work, recall the recurring themes of Del Buda's research, such as ether and constellations. Unicredit Tower is therefore re-interpreted as a spaceshuttle pointing towards the infinite, where the spyral steeple wears thin while it “flies high”: the work is indeed part of Milano Vola Alto project.
