Gae Aulenti Square: work by the contemporary artist Anna Antola. Subject of the work is a glimpse of the Milan skyline, which a feminine figure observes smiling while she raises her look. The woman is located in Gae Aulenti square, that according to che common opinion represents the nerve center of the new milanese district of Porta Nuova. On the left, a crane gives an idea of a still growing project that “...volta alto”, i.e. “flies high”, as the painter writes at the feet of the composition. Thanks to a flat use of shades and to a simple and linear style that accompany Antola in all her creations, the artist offers to the viewer a personal perspective of the big arhitectural complex dedicated to the well-known architect and designer Gae Aulenti. The work is signed by the artist on the right bottom.
