Stumbling on the threshold: photographic black and white work by Giovanni Salvati, which represents a glimpse of Garibaldi Gate, in Milan. Previously denominated “Comasina” since opened in direction of Como city, it is located at the North of the city from Lombardia: the neo-classical arch in the middle of 25 Aprile square, represents a nerve center for the citylife, at the mouth of Garibaldi road. By treating the opening as a frame, the eye of the observer is immediately catalysed by the modern skyscraper on the background, lonely spokesman of the great urban project of Milano Porta Nuova.
