Giovanni Salvati, Group picture, inkject print on glossy Canson paper, 40x30 cm
Group picture: photographic coloured work by Giovanni Salvati, which represents a glimpse of the buildings and the ultra-modern skyscrapers part of the new Porta Nuova project of Milan. Considered as one of the European biggest projects of riqualification, this urban plan is characterized by the great extension: in its 290.000 sqm innovation, modernity and green are combined. The architectural elements in the front of the buildings are reflected on the polished surfaces of the others, in creating a system of echoes and recalls. The Tower designed by the architect Cesar Pelli and all the most important buildings built nearby are symbols of a “raising city”, of a Milan evolving through the urban project of Porta Nuova.
