Giovanni Salvati, Epidermises, inkject print on glossy Canson paper, 40x30 cm

Epidermises: photographic coloured work by Giovanni Salvati, which represents a glimpse of Pelli Tower. Protagonist of the photography and of the milanese project Porta Nuova, the architectural elements in the front are reflected on the polished surface of the skyscraper, whereas the pinnacle reaching towards the sky seems be wishing to touch the sky and the superior border of the picture. In leading position, the yellow wall of a staircase is decorated by graffiti and street-art, and it contributes in spreading to the viewer an idea of modernity. The greenery element given by the tree is instead emblematic of a urban project which also contemplates the enhancement of metropolitan green areas. The Pelli Tower is the symbol of a “raising city”, of a Milan evolving through the urban project of Porta Nuova.
