Giovanni Salvati, Edification, inkject print on glossy Canson paper, 40x30 cm

Edification: photographic coloured work by Giovanni Salvati, which represents a glimpse of Porta Nuova district, in Milan. On the blackground, in the middle, the viewer can clearly distinguish the Tower designed by Cesar Pelli: the slim pinnacle raises towards the sky, following the vertical axis of the building in leading position and of the crane. The glossy surfaces of the skyscrapers reflect the white light, in creating an alternation of recalls and contrasts. The powerful structure of the crane is emblematic of a “raising city”, of a Milan evolving through the urban project of Porta Nuova.
