Imagining a hurricane in Milan: photographic work on sale by the photographer Francesco Langiulli. Intensely wedded to the beauties and the views of Milan, Langiulli dedicates the shoot presented here to a panoramic view taken from the city center. The shoot is indeed taken from the terraces of the Dome: the height of the location allows to include in the picture a very extended view of the city. Langiulli contrasts the seniority of the Venerable architecture, to the modernity of the newly built skyscrapers of Milano Porta Nuova urban project, that can be seen on the background. The contrast is given also by the different materials, and so by the precious Candoglia marble on one side and by steel and glass on the other. The statues on the top of the pinnacles seem like guardians, ready to face the hurricane arriving. Their candor stands out even more because of the dark gray of the threatening sky.
