Andrew Tosh, Wash ass and other, sculpture, 2015

In an unconventional way, Tosh decides to make a tribute to an object of our daily life, the bidet. According to the artist, to this object isn't attributed the importance that it deserves, although it is vital in our routine. The artistic inspiration of the work could be "Fountain", by Marcel Duchamp that Tosh decided to reinterpret, and making it his own, with a particular technique. Indeed, what attracts the observer's gaze is the power of colours with which the sculpture was painted. On the surface were applied bright and strong colors, that are the hall mark of the artist, in order to create a vivid contrast. In black he has made the writing apparently "no sense", which nevertheless contribute to complete the meaning of the sculpture. Instinctive and Pop Tosh creates a clear and discursive work, which tells a world that is easy to approach for the observer and to identify with.
