Gaetano Alfano, Archi di Porta Nuova, photograph on paper, 55,5x42 cm

Photograph taken by the Italian artist Gaetano Alfano, in which he shows the arches of Porta Nuova in Milan. His technique consists of almost superimposing different points of view of the same place. Alfano captures certain moments in his photographs, not making them fixed instants, but dynamic ones. According to his thinking, dynamism is not only an internal characteristic of a moving body, but also the photographer's mental predisposition to transpose a dynamic value into a static recording medium.

These works were presented for the Milano Vola Alto project, which consists of a series of exhibitions on and for Milan, offering different points of view of the city.
