Bulls and knight: oil on canvas realized by the artist Carlo Massimo Franchi. Under a peaceful azure sky, the scene represented by the artis takes place in a plaza de toros, typical spanish arena dedicated to the corrida. The observer participates to the violent fight between a powerful bull and the Picador, holding his characteristic pike while in the saddle of a white horse harnessed in the typical way: the Picador is a fundamental figure of the corrida de toros, since he has the duty of preparing the bull so that the torero can later square it off more easily. The work is signed on the right bottom, and overleaf.
