A unique work by the Italian artist Carlo Achille Cavalieri, who was born in Belluno but lived in Milan. During his career he has favoured genre and landscape painting, using mainly oil, watercolour and drawing techniques.
This work represents the Naviglio, a subject to which Cavalieri has dedicated a series of works.
The style is Impressionist-inspired, with the artist favouring patches of colour around the figures.
