"Today Boxing" represents a ironic portrait of Muhammad Ali. Yux captures details of the subject and translates them in a comical way, with childish and colorful gestures and spontaneous somatic traits. Muhammad Ali is framed like an advertising poster with irony and humour. The colours are bright and the profiles black and strong. Slogans complete the artwork with funny punning. In this case we find a connection with one of the most famous sentences of the american boxer "Fly like a butterfly and sting like a bee", saying in 1962, before the match with Sonny Liston; on the boxing gloves Yux represents a bee and a butterfly. The same quote inspiring the autobiography's title: " The soul of a Butterfly", published in 2004. Signed on the right bottom and on the back.
