Sergio Veglio

Sergio Veglio was born in 1958 in Turin, where he lives and works. He has had a passion for art since he was young and graduated from the G.B. Bodoni Institute of Graphic Arts in Turin.

In the 1990s he began to collaborate with galleries and held exhibitions related to them.

In the 2000s, after leaving the scene for a few years, he began to present his new production to the public again.

In 2020 he opened up to a new form of expression: as in his life, he continues to travel against the current in his artistic career. Historically, the "hyperrealism" phenomenon derives from Pop Art but, after having sought his own style in drawing up hyperreal works, today he approaches the "pop" movement by seizing the moment of the selfie mania, transforming portraits in an artistic way involving characters that are part of our imagination.

In the series in the gallery, there are signed and numbered graphic works dedicated to the details of great icons, which are enough for all of us to identify them, thus affirming their iconic dimension.
