Marco Ugoni

Marco Ugoni was born in Milan, Italy, on October 9, 1972. His predisposition and vocation for drawing and, later, for painting can be sensed since childhood. His passion for the visual arts grew over the years until he attended the II° Liceo Artistico Statale in Milan (currently known as Caravaggio). After graduating from high school in 1991, he continued his studies at the Faculty of Architecture, a project he set aside to devote himself to his working and artistic life. In 2015 he began a collaboration, as an illustrator, at a well-known Milanese studio in the field of publishing. He currently resides in Milan and cooperates with some galleries on the national territory. Marco over the years searches for his own language, through the restitution of an optically deformed and visually re-formed reality, creating a very precise and distinguishable style.

His language springs from an unconscious contamination of optical art brought toward the figurative, where the line is not limited to the drawing of the figure, but multiplying itself gives the work a state of perceptual instability. Where movement is not only depicted, but elicited by the work itself.
