Giovanni Salvati, Reflection of astonishment, inkject print on glossy Canson paper, 40x30 cm

Reflection of astonishment: photographic black and white work by Giovanni Salvati, which represents the B Tower of Milan. This is part of the complex of buildings designed by the Argentinian architect Cesar Pelli, composed by the Pelli Tower (also called Unicredit Tower), the B Tower (subject of the work), and the C Tower. The three constructions overlook Gae Aulenti square, hub of Milan Porta Nuova project. Protagonist of the work by Salvati is not the Tower per se, but its glossy and polished surface where another of the ultra-modern buildings is reflected. Thanks to this game of echoes and recalls, Salvati captures a district which grows without forgetting its local nature and international perspective.
