Antonio Sbrana

Antonio Sbrana (1934) was the founder of the group Toscana Arte G. Macchi and also member of the Tiberina Academy of Rome and of Fiorino Academy of Florence.

He was born, lived and worked in Maremma which is the principal subject of his paintings. He represented the luxuriant nature of Tuscan countries with a style influenced by Macchiaioli. He always painted landscapes, seascapes and still lives. He made expressive and evocative the reality with a skilful use of chromatic combinations. Dreamy atmospheres which spread feelings of peace and calm.

He exhibited his works in many Italian cities and he obtained many awards.
