Alessandro Russo, M1. 2015, retouchè, 32x46 cm

M1, 2015: retouchè by the contemporary artist Alessandro Russo. Russo's works has been concentrating on urban subjects, particulary on the new Milanese architecture, and symbols of the city. With a photographic gaze, the artist represents the majestic Cathedral on the backgound, while on the foreground there is the red symbol M1, of Milan underground. In this work, brush strokes on the sky and on the Cathedral make the scene intense and bright. The work is signed on the right bottom and marked P.U (unique piece) and coloured by hand, on the left bottom.
