Norma Picciotto

 

Living, and working in Milan, Norma Picciotto started her career as a free lance journalist and beetwen the ’70 and the ’90 reported the drammatic Italian history, for example the Red Brigades trials. Through her pictures she described the society of that time.

In 2000 she became a fine art photographer, and experimented new form and style. Norma tried to express her inner reality, and reaserched her roots. In her pictures she overlaps photos that she had taken in different places and combines opposite topics for example reality and dream, objectivity and symbolism, in order to create a new and spiritual vision of the world.

Since 2011 she has been exposing in galleries around the world in New York,Paris,Tel Aviv and Italy. In 2015 she set an exhibition, called “Riproducetevi e moltiplicatevi”  in the Israel Pavilion during the Expo Milano. Her last exhibition "Il Cantico dei Cantici" was inspired by an ancient poem of the jewish litterature. In these years she competed in different artistic contest: she was one of the finalist at Premio Arte Laguna in 2015 and she won the first place Fiorino d'Oro XXXII premio Firenze 2014, in addition she became a Member of the Europe Academy of Science, Arts and Litterature.
