Christian Gobbo

Christian Gobbo was born in Treviso in 1971 and he graduated at the International School of Graphics in Venezia.

Always intrested in contemporaty art, he studied the use of light and its action on colours which is never end to itself but it's functional to the whole. He doesn't realize ordinary artworks but "emotions": this is Christian Gobbo's art. He expresses with shapes and colours everything naked in his heart and mind.

He uses different materials like copper, brass and iron because he loves all naked sides of theese materials. Force and pliability of metals join brightness and fragility of neon: contrasts and alchemies between all elements represent feelings of the artist who becomes a "light interpreter".

The artist describes his creations this way:

< I use the neon: glass, trnsparency, brightness. Fragility.

I shape it, i see it run and move in the space and in volumes which I can't seize. It runs away looking beyond, for a unattaible place.

And metals: copper, brass and... iron.

The less noble one: I let it become rusty, than it will be cutted and hollowed... this way the light, the life spreads inside>.

He is a talented artist. In 2009 he was awarded with the fourth prize in the installations section of the International Contemporary Art Festival of Florence thanks to his artworks titled Maternità and Icaro. In 2010 Icaro was awarded at the International Exhibition "Italia Arte" at Villa Gualino, Turin.
