Salvador Dalì, The Fashion Maker, silkscreen print on plate, 30x40 cm, 1981

Silkscreen print, printed in 24 colours on 800/1000 solid silver plate, engraved with the numbering and signature of Maestro Dalì in the bottom right-hand corner. The serigraph is part of the complete cycle of "The Trades of Man", produced by Rizzoli Arte and exhibited at the "International Art Exposition", an important event held in New York in March 1981.

This subject represents the profession of the Fashion Maker, here the typical Dali mannequins become the designer's creations, in the foreground we find Venus with the head of roses, a subject much loved by the surrealist master.

In the bottom right-hand corner, the Fashion Designer is looking at his models.

The work is number 197/1500 and bears the engraved signature.
